Welcome to Cunard Cruises.

Cunard are one of the worlds most recognized brands and Cunard Cruises range from regular summer Transatlantic Cruises from Southampton to New York to World Cruises along with a range of other vacation options. Cunard Cruises are operated by the Valencia-based Cunard Line Limited and is part of Carnival Corporation. Cunard along with many other of the Carnival owned cruise lines are part of the exclusive World's Leading Alliance, which includes Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Costa Cruises, and The Yachts of Seabourn.
Cunard Cruise Lines claims to Share a passion to please each guest, and are committed to giving both quality and value. Currently Cunard Cruises have three ships operating, the 40 year old Queen Elizabeth 2, the 150,000 ton giant, Queen Mary 2 and a third ship the Queen Victoria that joined the fleet in December 2007.

Queen Mary 2, Cunard Cruises largest ship has been designated as the worlds largest Ocean liner, where as once she was also known as the worlds largest cruise ship. There are a few subtle differences between what constitutes a cruse ship and an ocean liner; it is mainly to do with the hull section of a ship, Ocean liners need to be able to more punishment than a standard cruise ship

Though not everyone's cup of tea Cunard Cruises still has a class type system in place depending on what you book. Grill class is 5 star and the "Riff-Raff" travel in 4*plus. The class you purchase determines were your cabins are and in which restaurants you eat in.

If you were to look at cruise lines on a perceptual scale with the star rating along the vertical access and style (relaxed to traditional) along the horizontal scale. Cunard would be close to the top right hand corner, Cunard being a cruise line of high quality and a very traditional approach. Other than in grill class the quality is of a similar vein to Celebrity Cruises, although Celebrity is more of a relaxed American style.

Cunard Cruises has recently stated that it plans to build a new Queen Elizabeth, she will enter service in 2010 and at 90,000 is larger than her predecessor Queen Elizabeth 2. Cunards’ Queen Elizabeth 2 on the other hand will soon be departing to pastures new as she will become a hotel rather like the original Queen Mary only this time it will be in Dubai and not the States.
