Cunard are to offer guests the chance to experience one World Cruise but two ships. Both Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 are to embark on a World Cruise between them.
The cruise will begin in Southampton on 2nd January 2009 where guests will board Queen Victoria. Guests will remain on Queen Victoria until 13th January 2009 where the will transfer onto Queen Mary 2 for the rest of the World Cruise before returning to Southampton on 8th April 2009.

Queen Elizabeth 2 made her last call to New York yesterday after a Transatlantic cruise. A celebratory lunch was laid on onboard the Cunard ship to mark this historic day. It is the last time that QE2 will visit North America before starting her new life in Dubai.
Speeches and tributes were paid to the QE2 and as she bid farewell; both the QE2 and Queen Mary 2 sounded their whistles to each other.

Queen Mary 2 is to spend her Christmas and New Year celebrating in the Caribbean. She will depart Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Friday 19th December 2008 and embark on a 16 night cruise before returning to Fort Lauderdale and flying back to the UK on Sunday 4th January 2009. Christmas Day will be spent cruising the Caribbean Sea whilst New Years Day is to be spent in the quiet resort of Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas.
